Although the affordable iPhone may sound distant, it will no longer be a dream. Apple pressed the button for this new series, which it introduced as the iPhone SE family. Apple recently announced that there will be a delay in the production of the fourth generation iPhone SE. However, the solution to the problem that caused the delay came from Chinese screen manufacturers.
Chinese screen manufacturers are ready for the affordable iPhone!
For the series, which Apple plans to be affordable, LG and Samsung’s OLED screen production proposal was negative. Because it was thought that it would agree with BOE, which produces screens for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. The fact that BOE was relatively more affordable compared to other display manufacturers strengthened the possibility of this agreement. However, a full agreement could not be reached between Apple and BOE on the desired features. Unfortunately, this caused the iPhone SE 4 event to be postponed to a later date.
Chinese display manufacturers have stated that they are ready to offer a solution to this problem. Suppliers, including Tianma, are trying to get orders from Apple for AMOLED displays suitable for the fourth-generation iPhone SE. Firms that think BOE will take the majority of orders will compete to become secondary suppliers. Tianma will be the strongest competitor in this race and will make a name for herself. Regarding the affordable iPhone, Apple visited major OLED display factories in China in the first half of 2023.
According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the fourth-generation iPhone SE will have a similar design to the iPhone 14. It is also certain that it will include a 6.1-inch OLED screen, despite all the negativities. With the new series that will carry a 5G chip, Apple will prove that 5G is not just a rumor. Despite all these developments, the fourth generation iPhone SE is not expected to be released until 2025.
