Audi is about to launch a VR headset service for virtual reality trending with Metaverse. Although the Metaverse universe is still in its infancy, AR and VR headsets are starting to trend again. Audi, on the other hand, brings VR headsets to the in-car entertainment world, which has evolved to a different dimension with Tesla. In this sense, the company has agreed with Holoride, which integrates HTC Vive Flow VR headsets into the in-car driving experience.

The German auto company has not disclosed at this time whether this move is aimed at the Metaverse universe. However, the use of VR and AR headsets as an in-car entertainment system is one of the important guys for Metaverse. Audi, Holoride and HTC will launch this new in-car entertainment system, which will use the Vive Flow VR headset, in June. For now, this new VR headset experience will only be available on select Audi vehicles. However, it is not yet clear which models this system will take place in. Of course, we will have to buy an HTC VR headset to be included in this entertainment system.
HTC with Holoride in-car VR headset use before Mobile World Congress 2022 relevant agreement. In this sense, Holoride has special software that detects in-vehicle movements and shapes the content according to these movements. This software, on the other hand, attracts the attention of many content producers besides Audi. In this sense, the company has partnered with Discovery, Disney, Universal Studios and thousands of independent developers.
Audi’s agreement with HTC for the in-car VR headset experience is important. Because although HTC is looking for its old days in the smartphone industry, it is at the forefront with its user experience in the VR headset industry. Holoride, on the other hand, seeks to use this entertainment world for NFT acquisitions and to step into the Metaverse universe. This VR-focused gaming and content experience is available for backseat passengers. Self-driving car trials of Tesla and other car brands can also enable drivers to be included in these in-car entertainment systems.
Although Audi is currently the first stop of the Holoride, HTC partnership, the system can be integrated into all car models. In this sense, after June, the Holoride VR in-car entertainment system may appear in brands other than Audi.
