The editing feature, which is available on all social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, is also coming to the Twitter application. The company, which offers users the option to undo the tweets they shared for a certain fee, has been insisting on not introducing the tweet editing function since its inception.
Twitter broke his temper this year. Thanks to the Edit button, which is under development and not yet available, users will be able to change the content of a tweet after sharing it. However, this feature will not offer much flexibility, according to Alessandro Paluzzi, who examined Twitter’s codes with the reverse engineering method.
Tweet editing feature will work for 1 hour
Alessandro Paluzzi, known for leaking the features that will come to the Twitter application, shared an annoying information about the tweet editing feature. Allegedly, tweets will be editable for an hour.
There is no such limitation on Instagram or Facebook. No matter how many hours pass, it can be arranged. Twitter will also show previous versions of an edited tweet in its Edit History section. This feature is not available in any of the other social media apps.
Instagram brought back its chronological sorting feature, which was removed years ago, last month. Thereupon, Twitter made a post that made fun of this update of Instagram. The Meta-affiliated platform responded to its competitor’s post by posting a screenshot of the edit button in the app.
After this hilarious exchange between the two companies, “Instagram is the clear winner of this war!” comments were made.
Twitter continues to work on its tweet editing feature. The edit button has been activated in a limited number of users’ accounts, but according to the shared feedback, this button sometimes does not work. This shows that the feature is not yet available and will be available very soon.
