Gigabyte announces first AMD A620 motherboards
The Gigabyte A620 motherboard series comes with support for DDR5 EXPO/XMP overclocking up to DDR5-6400 and PCIe 4.0 compatibility for the AM5 platform. In addition, the new A620 series, equipped with 8+2+1 Progressive Digital VRM Solution, M.2 thermal protection against excessive heat and Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax wireless standard, will be a budget-friendly alternative for users who plan to switch to the AM5 platform.
Gigabyte A620 motherboards feature innovative PCIe EZ-Latch technology to simplify graphics upgrades and protect components. In addition, Gigabyte’s Q-Flash Plus feature allows BIOS updates without installing any processor, memory or even graphics card.
In the announcement, Gigabyte said its competitive A620 platform will showcase multiple form factor options ranging from Micro ATX to Mini ITX. The first model expected to be included in the family will be the Gigabyte A620M GAMING X. The full model list, price and release date of the new motherboards are yet to be announced.
