Announcing that it has developed an efficiency-oriented application-specific integrated circuit – ASIC solution for cryptocurrency mining in the past weeks, Intel this week formalized its project called Bonanza Mine.

What does Intel Bonanza Mine offer?

The mining solution called Inte Bonanza Mine was designed on the 7nm process. Each dice measures 4.14mmx3.42mm. A total of 4248 square millimeters of silicon is obtained. It was developed only for Bitcoin mining with its dual SHA256 mining engine structure. Each dice has a total of 258 digging engines. While the chip goes up to 1.6GHz, it consumes 335mV of energy. With 7.5W, 137GHash/s level can be achieved.

Intel also prepared a complete system called Bonanza Mine System for its customers. This system, where 300 chips come together, reaches 40THash/s excavation performance. In the 4-fan system, control and communication over Ethernet are provided by an ARM core.

Intel has already received orders for its new Bitcoin mining system from key companies such as Argo Blockchain, Jack Dorsey’s firm BLOCK and GRIID. It seems that Intel will do serious work against Bitmain, which is considered the leader of the industry.
