Most of us imagine cruise vacations to be a quiet, sedentary journey at a leisurely pace, giving us time to relax and recharge. Whether traveling in the middle of the ocean or between cities, a cruise ship looks pretty plain, isolated from the technology and connectivity that dominate our lives on land. But now all that seems to be about to change.
Icon of the Seas is the newest flagship of Royal Caribbean, one of the world’s most iconic and luxury cruise operators. She is preparing to offer an unforgettable holiday experience thanks to the magnificent technologies it contains.

With a length of 365 meters and a gross tonnage of 250,800 gross tonnage, Icon of the Seas will be Royal Caribbean’s largest cruise ship to date when she launches in January 2024.
Category 6, the largest water park ever launched, with a maximum of 7,600 guests (with up to 2,350 crew); It will be able to enjoy attractions such as 7 pools including the Royal Bay, the largest pool in the sea with a volume of 40,000 gallons, and an infinity pool on a cruise ship for the first time. It also seems impossible for guests to get bored, as there is an ice arena and more than 40 places to eat and drink.
But Icon of the Seas is not only a relaxing vacation spot, but also a floating smart city made up of 8 different neighborhoods where guests can enjoy themselves. While Icon of the Seas is connected to the internet via Starlink, Royal Caribbean Group Chief Product Innovation Officer Jay Schneider says of Icon of the Seas, “We believe it will be the best family vacation in the world.”
