The Central Bank of Georgia wants to regulate the crypto market in the country.
Eastern Europe’s central bank, the National Bank of Georgia, wants to regulate the crypto-asset market. Central Bank Governor Koba Gvenetadze said the draft law will include rules for licensing virtual asset service providers, testing compliance procedures and stopping money laundering, The Financial reported.
The draft will also follow the Financial Action Task Force guidance and recommendations from the International Monetary Fund.
