George R. R. Martin Talks About ‘House of the Dragon’

As fans of the series will know, the new series House of the Dragon, set in the universe of HBO’s Emmy-winning world-famous series Game of Thrones and focusing on the events 200 years before the events we watched in the main series, is one of the most anticipated series of 2022. Before Robert Baratheon on the Iron Throne, the Targaryen dynasty lived and ruled in Westeros in the series; I guess we wouldn’t be wrong if we say that we will see a lot of dragons and wars because the Khaleesi of Game of Thrones tells about the ancestors of Daenerys Targaryen.

George R. R. Martin, the author of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series that Game of Thrones is adapted from, seems to be quite pleased with the new series adapted from the book Fire & Blood. Noting that he watched part of the unfinished version of the first episode of House of the Dragon, which is the most anticipated series of the new year according to IMDB, Martin said; In his post, he stated that he loved the series as much as he saw it.

The Targaryens are in good hands

In the continuation of the sharing, Martin stated that an Amazon-made series set in the Lord of the Rings universe of House of the Dragon, Neil Gaiman’s Sandman, Marvel series and series set in the Star Wars universe will meet with the fans at a time when the House of the Dragon’s universe will meet with them. He added that he is very proud that IMDB is at the top of the list.

Since he is the author of the books on which the series is adapted, Martin cannot be expected to be very objective in this regard; however, Martin says that, like many of us, he is quite excited for the new series. Noting that “I’m looking forward to House of the Dragon, too,” on this subject, Martin states that as far as he watches, the series is extremely dark, powerful and instinctive, just the way he likes it.

Stating that the team behind the series did a great job, Martin said, just like in Game of Thrones, the actors in the new series are not very well-known names; but he states that all of them are perfect and perfect choices for the series. Noting that the Targaryen family is in good hands, Martin adds, “I don’t think you will be disappointed.”

As part of a comprehensive deal between Martin and HBO, House of the Dragon is just one of many TV series and animated series set in the planned Game of Thrones universe. It is not known exactly when the series will be broadcast, except that it will be in 2022.
