The famous hacker, nicknamed geohot, announced that he is resigning from his trainee position, this time on Twitter. Years ago, George Hotz became the first person to remove all the limitations of the PlayStation 3 and make it possible to install games and applications illegally on this device.

Why did George Hotz part ways with Twitter?

It was learned that Hotz, who said he was grateful for the internship opportunity offered by Twitter, but did not think that it would make any impact here, missed his GitHub days. Because he stated that his GitHub profile lost a lot of blood and he wanted to intervene in this situation immediately.

Elon Musk thinks that a company should be extremely tough in terms of management. George Hotz also agrees with this idea. It was this consensus that led Hotz to receive a job offer on Twitter on November 16, 2022. Hotz accepted this offer on November 18, 2022 and started working at this company.

The 32-year-old previously served as chief executive officer of a company called Comma AI. The popular hacker who quit his job here 2 months ago published a survey about the 12-week internship opportunity he got.

81 thousand 890 people participated in Hotz’s survey, which followed the footsteps of Elon Musk. 63.6% of respondents told Hotz, “Stay on Twitter!” said. 36.4% wanted Hotz to resign from his trainee position.

It was revealed that Elon Musk gave Hotz tasks on November 21, 2022 to fix the mechanism of the search engine on Twitter and to eliminate the problems caused by the pop-up window that appeared in front of users who were browsing without logging in to Twitter.

Users can now comfortably continue surfing without logging in to Twitter. This problem seems to have been fixed. It is not yet clear whether Hotz has fixed the other issue.

It was stated that George Hotz, who did not support Elon Musk’s decision to ban sharing (free ads) related to the link addresses of giant platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, wanted Twitter 2.0 to be successful.
