GENIGMA, a mobile game developed by the Genomic Editing Center (CRG), Centro Nacional de Análisis Genómico (CNAG-CRG) researchers and game experts, can be downloaded completely free of charge on iOS and Android platforms.
In GENIGMA, players solve various puzzles to create new maps of how mutated genes in cancer cells can be organized. In the game, where the puzzles are not too difficult, the data obtained can be used in breast cancer research.
“Anyone in the world with a smartphone can download GENIGMA for free and contribute directly to research, putting the logic and craftsmanship they have developed at the service of science,” said Elisabetta Broglio, a staff member at Centro Nacional de Análisis Genómico (CNAG-CRG).
