Adobe, which has been providing many features with the support of artificial intelligence for a long time, especially with its ‘Neural Filters’, has added another magnificent feature to Photoshop. The company brought the “Generative Fill” feature from the productive artificial intelligence platform Firefly to Photoshop.

The feature, which is currently only available in the beta version of Photoshop, creates backgrounds according to your wishes, suitable for the photos you want to expand the background of. After explaining in writing what kind of background you want, the rest is left to Photoshop.

How to use Photoshop Generative Fill?

To use Photoshop Generative Fill, you must first download the beta version of Photoshop. For this, you can use the “Beta applications” page in the left menu of the Creative Cloud application. Then, you can add any background to your photos by following the steps below:

  • Select the part to add or replace the background with the selection tool.
  • Click on the “Generative Fill” option in the menu that appears on the screen.
  • Write in English what kind of background you want.
  • Press the ‘Generate’ option.
  • Choose any of the filling options that appear.

Photoshop’s Generative Fill feature is scheduled to be available to the end user in the second half of 2023.
