Productive artificial intelligence will affect almost all areas of technology in the coming years. An important announcement has come from Adobe on this subject. The company has announced that it will add Generative Fill functionality to Photoshop by the end of the year.
Based on the Firefly system, this feature allows you to add, remove or enlarge a photo via text commands. Adobe officials will offer users a ‘magical new way of working’ with this function.

“Generative Fill combines the speed and simplicity of productive AI with the power and precision of Photoshop, enabling customers to bring their visions to life at the speed of their imaginations,” said Ashley Still, Senior Vice President of Digital Media, Adobe.

It was stated that the function in question considers the perspective, lighting and style of the original scene when making any changes. From an ethical point of view, it is stated that the current model is based only on Adobe Stock images and other publicly available content that is not copyrighted.

Encoded with digital signature

In addition, images created using Generative Fill in Photoshop will be encoded with an invisible digital signature to determine whether they were created by a human or artificial intelligence.

Generative Fill will be available in the Photoshop desktop beta starting today. The company stated that this feature will become generally available in the second half of 2023.
