Generation Z Prefers to Quit Instead of Returning to the Office

The new normals have not 'gotten old', even though the pandemic has largely lost its effect. Remote working life, which started due to the pandemic, still continues for many companies. A study shows that people who are used to working from home do not want to return to the office.

The working life, which has moved away with the pandemic process, has also brought new normals to people. While all countries announced closures and quarantines due to the worldwide epidemic, companies started to work from home as much as they could. This naturally forced the employees to abandon their previous habits for two years. Ultimately, a still unending ‘remote working’ process emerged.

While this process covered millions in the first place, it is still not over. Remote working life, which started at the peak of the pandemic, ended the office life completely, and made the difference between generations felt enough. While the Z generation adapted to this process faster, it also had problems in returning.

Generation Z wants to work from home

According to a study, Generation Z has embraced remote working life. According to the survey, in which 33 thousand people still work remotely, young people between the ages of 18-24 do not want to return to their offices, just like other people. While 71 percent of this age group said, “If my employer insists that I return to my workplace full-time, I will consider looking for another job”, while other age groups held the same view to a substantial extent.

64 percent of remote workers aged 25-34, 61 percent of remote workers aged 35-44, 56 percent of teleworkers aged 45-54, and 59 percent of teleworkers aged 55+ u said, “If I’m called to the offices full time, even though it’s not necessary, I’ll start looking for a new job.” He preferred the remote working life to the office life.

So, have you switched to remote working life during the pandemic process? Do you think it is more comfortable to work from home? Or working from the office? You can specify in the comments…
