The Artificial Intelligence Supported Rural Security Management System Project was signed between the Presidency of Defense Industries and ASELSAN. According to the needs of the Gendarmerie General Command, artificial intelligence cameras will be installed at 1650 different points in 25 provinces and 109 districts. New details have been revealed about this project, which was signed in the past months.

Artificial intelligence developed by ASELSAN will contribute to public safety by analyzing camera images. Thanks to artificial intelligence, many analyzes such as selected person search, description detection, person / vehicle statistical scene analysis, vehicle finding, selected vehicle search, crowd analysis and crowd density extraction will be performed and provided to decision makers. Thanks to smart cameras, video analysis recording systems and central video analytics systems, functions such as smart camera analysis, recording/transmitting/exporting image and analysis data, alarm summarization on the basis of event and image stream, alarm filtering on the map, graphical alarm reporting by time and place can be used.

For the project, cameras will be placed on poles in residential areas and rural areas. In addition, poles with solar energy panels will be erected in some places and it will be ensured that it produces its own energy. The cameras will be in 4K resolution and will transmit data wirelessly 24/7. Images transferred to monitoring and control centers will be stored on image recording systems for a certain period of time. Thanks to the developed imaging software and video analytics, instant monitoring and retrospective queries can be performed and classifications can be made. The images will be examined at the monitoring and control centers of the Gendarmerie General Command.
