Although Nvidia introduced RTX 5000 series cards in January, the RTX 5070 models are still not released. Recently, production problems for the RTX 50 series came up, while 5070 will be on sale on 5 March. Now the performance results of the GeForce RTX 5070 model have been leaked.

RTX 4070 faster up to 20 %

For the kidnappers, the RTX 5070 comes with GB205 GPU based on Blackwell architecture. In this configuration, it has 6144 CUDA seeds, 192-bit data path and 12 GB GDDR7 memory. In addition, memory speed is 28 GBPS and provides a total of 672 GB/s bandwidth. This means an increase of approximately 33 %compared to the memory performance of the RTX 4070.

According to the leaked test results, the RTX 5070 predecessor is 15 %to 20 %faster than the RTX 4070. In the Geekbench OpenCL test, the card, which receives 187,414 points, offers approximately 12 %higher performance than the RTX 4070’s 167.924 points. In the Vulkan test, it obtains 188.712 points and leaves the 156,601 points of the RTX 4070 with a clear difference.

The RTX 5070’s performance in the vulcan tests is almost the same as the RTX 4070 Ti. However, in the OpenCL test, RTX 4070 still seems stronger. Compared to the RTX 4070 Ti Super, which is located in the higher segment, it can be said that RTX 5070 is left behind. One of the most important reasons for this difference is that 4070 Ti Super has 16 GB Vram.

Meanwhile, the real game performance of the graphics card is not yet clear. However, the RTX 5070 is expected to be significantly stronger than its predecessor in 1440p and 4K resolutions. In addition, the biggest rival of the RTX 5070 will be the Radeon RX 9070 series that AMD will soon introduce, and the recent production problems in the RTX 5000 series may cause Nvidia’s headache.
