GeForce RTX 4090 D coming in 2024
Designed according to US regulations, the RTX 4090 D will be a slightly lightened, or rather trimmed, version of the original RTX 4090, which was restricted in the country due to its TPP (Total Transaction Performance) rating exceeding 4800 points. This rating tool, by the way, was developed by US Trade officials to ensure that China does not have access to advanced chips that could be used to give them an advantage in artificial intelligence calculations.
The GPU on the RTX 4090 D card is known as AD102-250 and will be a trimmed version of the AD102-300 GPU we saw in the RTX 4090. We do not know how much the card has been trimmed for now, but the latest information from reliable sources reveals the clock speeds of the new model. Accordingly, the base clock speed of the custom GPU will increase to 2280 MHz, which is 45 Mhz higher than the original RTX 4090. However, it is said that the boost clock speed will remain unchanged, that is, 2520 MHz.
There’s no word yet on the core configuration or memory specifications, but the card is likely to support 24GB GDDR6X memory with over 1TB/s bandwidth and over 400W TGP. On the pricing side, the GeForce RTX 4090 D is expected to be around $1800.
