Nvidia, which has recently released its flagship RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 graphics cards, is preparing to sign an important change for the RTX 4080. Today, Hong Kong-based news outlet HKEPC revealed that Nvidia is preparing a new AD103 chip for the GeForce RTX 4080. The new version may cause changes in prices. Here are the details

RTX 4080 switches to a new design

Today, the GeForce RTX 4080 is powered by Nvidia’s AD103-300 chip. But current leaks and Nvidia production partners have confirmed that the new card will soon be making its way to the AD103-301. However, the new GPU will help board partners cut costs while maintaining similar features compared to the current version.

Also, HKEPC says that the upcoming RTX 4070 model will be powered by two different chips, AD104-250 or AD104-251. However, Nvidia will first come up with the “250” variation with “comparison circuit” before users. About two weeks later, the AD104-251-based RTX 4070 will be released, which does not need the same degree. This model is expected to reduce costs with fewer components.
