Nvidia, which introduced the mid- and upper-mid-level models of the Ada Lovelace architecture to users in the past months, has long said goodbye to the “SUPER” brand, which we encounter especially in the RTX 20XX series. Finally, images of a GeForce RTX 3090 SUPER model that was shelved were leaked to the internet.

The shelved RTX 3090 SUPER has emerged

For those who don’t know, this is not the first time we hear about the RTX 3090 SUPER model. So much so that rumors of this version started when the first RTX 3090 was released and we encountered many different leaks. However, after a gap of 1.5 years, Nvidia came out with a surprise GeForce RTX 3090 Ti announcement.

Now new images of the GeForce RTX 3090 SUPER have emerged, showing its completely matte and metallic black design. This card uses the similar triple-fan cooler as the RTX 3090 Ti Founders Edition. It was also stated that the card in question has a total bandwidth of 1008.4 GB/s with 10752 CUDA cores, 1860 MHz boost speed and 384 bit bus, and 24 GB GDDR6X VRAM running at 21 Gbps.

It is worth noting that these details are the same as the RTX 3090 Ti. Therefore, the name change may have occurred very close to launch. Nowadays, the “SUPER” name scheme has been replaced by “Ti”. While the flagship card of the Ada Lovelace architecture was the RTX 4090, Nvidia introduced the RTX 4080, RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4060 Ti models. It is not yet clear which name scheme will be used in the Nvidia RTX 50xx series.
