As reported, a new RTX 3050 version has appeared on China-based retail platforms. Judging by the images, this new GPU is limited to 2048 CUDA cores, 8GB memory capacity, 128-bit memory bus and 65W TDP, similar to the mobile version. It also eliminates the need for an external power connector in addition to the 1,500MHz clock speed.It should be noted that this news is not surprising. Today, many manufacturers, especially AMD, offer cropped products for the Chinese market. The new RTX 3050, on the other hand, started to be listed in China with a price tag of 1999 RMB, or $278. However, it is not yet clear whether this version will reach the global market.
