GTX 1650 renewable
A new report by Board Channels today indicates that the Nvidia TU117, which powers the GTX 1650 and is in the entry segment of the Turing architecture, is out of stock. Therefore, Nvidia can replace this GPU with more powerful TU116 or TU106 alternatives. But since larger silicon tends to consume more power, Nvidia will need to make some tweaks to the specs.
For those who don’t know, there are already versions of the GTX 1650 based on different GPUs, TU117-300 and TU116. In addition, these versions are offered to users with two different memory solutions, GDDR6 and GDDR5. However, we can say that we have just started to hear the TU106 model that powers the RTX 2060. In his view, Nvidia will continue to phase out Turing GPUs without ray tracing or DLSS support.
