The GeForce GTX 1630 graphics card, prepared by Nvidia in order to compete better at the entry level and to clear the stocks, is coming to the market after delays. Its rival will be the Radeon RX 6400 graphics card.
GeForce GTX 1630 specs and price
The GeForce GTX 1630 graphics card is based on the 12nm Turing TU117-150 core. The graphics card with 512 processing units can go up to 1785MHz clock frequency. There are 32 pattern mapping units and 32 ROP units available.
The 4GB GDDR6 memory consists of two 16Gbit GDDR6 modules at 12Gbps. It can reach 96GB/s bandwidth on 64-bit bus. Without the hardware-based AV1 codec, the card also lacks features like ray tracing and DLSS. With a starting price of $150, it rivals the Radeon RX 6400 graphics card, but initial tests show it’s behind. In this regard, the price provides some consolation.
