The so-called soldiers and police say that the name of the citizen is involved in a crime and that it is possible to get rid of it in exchange for gold and money. The scammers, who were quite convincing, would take the citizens’ wealth in this way. Now, an important operation has been carried out against a gang engaged in this type of fraud in Istanbul.
A blow was dealt to a gang defrauding citizens in the dawn operation carried out by the Istanbul Police Department’s Cyber Crime Branch. During the operations carried out simultaneously in 9 cities, including Şanlıurfa and Gaziantep, many people known to be gang members were caught.

According to the information obtained, the criminal record of the gang, who carried out the operation, was quite high. Allegedly, approximately 11 million liras have been collected from the deceived citizens so far. Fortunately, the gang was crushed by the operations supported by the special operations police.
Although no detailed explanation was given about the Şafak operations, according to the information obtained, the alleged gang leader was also caught. The suspect, who has been followed for a while, was caught and detained in the raid in Fatih, Istanbul. How the investigation will continue remains unclear for the time being.
