Achieving a large share of the cake in the foldable phone market, Samsung continues its efforts to expand the Galaxy Z Fold series, which has achieved significant sales figures. The South Korean manufacturer showcased the Z Fold 4 model last year, and by 2023 it has made great strides over the device’s successor, the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Finally, the features of the foldable phone were announced before the launch.
Galaxy Z Fold 5 features revealed
The features of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 were shared by TheGalox, known for its leaks in the industry. Accordingly, the smartphone will have a 7.6-inch AMOLED primary and also a 6.2-inch AMOLED cover display. Both panels will have a 120 Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, these panels will be brighter than the previous generation model. An under-screen selfie camera will also be available on the smartphone.
The device will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 available. The chipset that will have a 4 nm architecture; It will host the Adreno graphics unit in addition to 1x 3.36 GHz ARM Cortex-X3, 2x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A710, 2x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A715 and 2x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A715 cores.
The smartphone will have 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB UFS 4.0 options. On the other hand, it will have a triple camera setup consisting of a 50 Megapixel main camera, 12 Megapixel and 10 Megapixel auxiliary sensors. The main camera of the device will be able to record 8K 30 FPS video.
The device, which has a new hinge mechanism that provides less obvious wrinkles and smaller gaps when closed, will also include features such as Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and IPX8. Other key features include improved vibration engines, S Pen support, improved speakers and One UI 5.1.1 based on Android 13 OS.
