Samsung has just released the Galaxy Z Fold 3, but already rumors about the Z Fold 4 have started to appear and the new leak is quite interesting. The issue is that the upcoming phone will include an in-display fingerprint sensor. Yes, the subject may be familiar, but when our phone is a foldable model, the point where this sensor will be placed makes the subject interesting.
According to the details revealed in the Samsung patent, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will have fingerprint sensors integrated into the screen separately on both the inner and outer screens. Thus, access to this sensor will be possible when the phone is folded or open. However, when the screen is on, that is, when the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is in tablet mode, it is a matter of curiosity on which wing of the screen the sensor will be placed. According to the drawings, this sensor, which is seen on the left wing of the screen, makes the sensor compatible with the left thumb in this sense.
Who knows, maybe Samsung makes the bottom area of all screens available for the sensor and leaves the choice to the consumer. Because there are rumors that this type of sensors used in smartphones can spread to the entire screen. We’ll wait and see.
