Galaxy Watch 6 key features revealed
For those who don’t know, the current leaks pointed out that the Galaxy Watch 6 will receive support from a new generation Exynos W980 chipset. However, new information from the certification site has revealed that the Galaxy Watch 6 will be powered by an Exynos W930 chipset with model number “S5E5515”. It should also be noted that this model number is surprisingly similar to the Galaxy Watch4 and Watch5.
So what happened to the Exynos W980, which we encountered in many leaks? Perhaps this name was only used temporarily and the name W930 was finally decided upon. Another possibility is that the W980 could be a high-end chip still in development. Therefore, Samsung may turn to Exynos 930 in Galaxy Watch 6 and Exynos 980 in Galaxy Watch 6 Pro, similar to Apple. However, we need to wait a little longer to confirm all this.
What will the Galaxy Watch 6 series offer?
In an announcement made last week, Samsung has confirmed that its upcoming family of smartwatches will feature an FDA-approved heart rate monitoring feature. For those who don’t know, this feature, called IHRN, will appear as a component of the existing Electrocardiogram (ECG) feature on Galaxy watches.
In addition, the smartwatch family will be supported by the Wear OS 4-based One UI 5.0 Watch, which offers advanced health tracking and new customization options. You can find all the innovations about One UI 5.0 Watch here.
