The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series is expected to debut later this year. When we look at the shared CAD images, we see that the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic model will have a silicon-based magnetic wristband in addition to the metal case. On the front of the watch, there is a 1.47-inch Super AMOLED display surrounded by a rotating bezel, similar to the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. According to previous reports, this screen will support 470×470 resolution.
Two buttons are positioned on the right side of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. On the back are PPG (Photoplethysmography) and heart rate sensors for detection of hypertension and other cardiovascular diseases. Although the technical specifications of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic have not been clarified, the device is expected to have barometer, EKG, gyro, heart rate sensor, GPS, NFC, sleep tracking and temperature sensors.In an announcement made last week, Samsung has confirmed that its upcoming family of smartwatches will feature an FDA-approved heart rate monitoring feature. For those who don’t know, this feature, called IHRN, will appear as a component of the existing Electrocardiogram (ECG) feature on Galaxy watches.
Also, current leaks say that the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic will be powered by the Exynos W980 chipset, which is based on the 5nm manufacturing process.
