What is log video?

A video recorded in the log profile offers more detail and higher dynamic gaps than the videos recorded in other profiles. These videos have a solid color profile. In other words, in a video recorded in log format, colors look dull, pale and lifeless.

The log format is similar to RAW in terms of taking a minimum embroidery video for more color correction. What makes the logic useful is that it can be easily displayed on an external monitor, although it makes little operations during shooting.

Although log videos have more details and a wider range of dynamic, they look dull when you play their colors without correcting them. For the best result, it is not enough to have advanced applications, it is necessary to know the color profiles. To save videos in log format, you need to go to the video mode settings and open the Log, one of the advanced options. It can then be activated by touching the log button in the camera application.

The log video format on Samsung Galaxy S25 phones is supported in all resolutions, including 8K30, 8K24, UHD120, UHD60, UHD30 and UHD24.
