It was said that Samsung would use a 200MP camera for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, and would prefer the sensor in the S23 Ultra as a sensor. However, that will not happen. The Galaxy S24 Ultra will opt for the 200 MP ISOCELL HP2SX, a more optimized version of the ISOCELL HP2 used in the S23 Ultra. This sensor has 1/1.3 inch optical format and 0.7 µm pixel size. It will feature super quad phase-detection autofocus, 8K 30fps video recording, 12MP (16-in-1) and 50MP (4-in-1) pixel binning modes. The S24 Ultra will use a new telephoto camera with a 50MP sensor (1/2.52 inches) and 0.7µm pixels. The phone is said to offer 5x zoom in optical quality thanks to the larger sensor and in-sensor cropping. Selfie camera, ultra wide-angle camera will not be a change.
