5x telephoto camera, Exynos processor, Android 14
Samsung has used dual 10MP telephoto cameras (3x and 10x) for three years on the S21 Ultra, S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra. The company is finally replacing the 3x telephoto camera; Galaxy S24 Ultra will have 5x telephoto camera. There are not many details about the resolution of the telephoto cameras. There are rumors that the main camera will be a 200MP sensor and the flat Galaxy S24 will have more RAM and storage options. On the processor side, Exynos processors may come back with the Galaxy S24 series. It is said that Samsung is working on the Exynos 2400, which works 4 times more performance. The S24 could be the first smartphone series to come with Android 14.
The Galaxy S20 Ultra was Samsung’s first smartphone to feature a long-range zoom camera. It had a 48MP telephoto camera capable of 4x optical zoom, digital zoom up to 100x. The company dropped the telephoto camera resolution to 12MP with the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, but increased the optical zoom to 5x. The S21 Ultra is equipped with a 10MP telephoto camera capable of 3x and 10x zoom, and the camera has not changed in the two later models. That will finally change with the S24 Ultra.
