While the Samsung Galaxy S24 series comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chip in certain markets, the Ultra model of the series is said to be released with this faster chip in all markets. Qualcomm hasn’t officially released the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, so we don’t know much about it, but a new leak suggests that the chipset Qualcomm has in store for Samsung could be extremely powerful.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy can provide a 50 percent speed increase

According to Revegnus, known for its previous leaks, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chip manages to score 7,400 points in the multi-core test in Geekbench 6. It was claimed that the A17 Bionic in the iPhone 15 Pro series received similar scores. Now, the reason this is so impressive is that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the Galaxy S23 series was able to score 4,975 points in Geekbench 6. Therefore, there is an increase of almost 50 percent.

On the other hand, if this information is true, we can say that the news is good for Qualcomm. With Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, such an increase was necessary for the company to compete with Apple. Because Qualcomm was lagging behind Apple’s chips at the CPU level in terms of pure power. On the GPU side, the situation is exactly the opposite. However, another thing that should be mentioned specifically for Samsung is the Exynos 2400 and its performance, which is said to be in the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 +. If for some unfortunate reason this chipset fails to match the Qualcomm variant in performance and efficiency, Samsung could be in trouble.
