We are less than two months away from Samsung announcing its new flagship smartphones. Various features of the upcoming Galaxy S24 series have been leaked many times in recent months. Some rumors claimed that Samsung would finally upgrade the RAM on its new devices, but a new rumor refutes these claims.
According to reliable leaker Ice Universe, the base Galaxy S24 will only come with 8GB of RAM. Galaxy S24+ will have a variant with 12GB RAM. The rumor also claims that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will also come with 8GB RAM in the entry-level model and 12GB RAM in the higher-spec model.
If this information is true, it doesn’t look good for Samsung, at least from a technical perspective. Consumers certainly won’t like Samsung cutting costs and not offering higher RAM on its flagship smartphone lineup for four years in a row; Moreover, in a period when devices need more memory and in-device artificial intelligence feature is expected. The situation does not look encouraging, especially when compared to smartphones from rival Android brands that offer up to 24GB of RAM.
So what else have we learned about the series so far? It is thought that the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will have the Exynos 2400 processor in all countries except Canada, China and the USA. Galaxy S24 Ultra will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy processor everywhere. All three phones are expected to have 12MP selfie and 12MP ultra-wide cameras.
