Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will come in two different versions
As it is known, Samsung preferred Exynos chips in markets outside the USA, Canada and China for a long time. However, the fact that Snapdragon processors offer a remarkable performance difference against Exynos changed the plans of the South Korea-based giant. Therefore, the Galaxy S23 series is expected to receive support from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform in all markets.
Today, a source called RGcloudS has included new details about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 that will power the Galaxy S23 series. According to the source, the upcoming phones will host two different versions of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, AB and AC. However, the EU version of the processor is expected to be based on Samsung Foundry’s 4nm LPE process node, while the AC version is based on TSMC’s N4P node. Thus, the new version will offer a clock speed increase from 3.2GHz to 3.32GHz on the Cortex X3 Prime core of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
