Competitors managed to infiltrate the Galaxy S22
Reportedly, the STAR Labs team, which took part in the competition, managed to infiltrate the Galaxy S22 by performing an improper login authentication attack on their third attempt. The second name to hack the flagship phone was a participant named Chim. However, the first group received a prize of $ 50,000 and the second user $ 25,000, while it is stated that the discovered zero-day vulnerabilities were forwarded to Samsung. Also, within the scope of the event, 26 competitors continue to search for new vulnerabilities in Canon, Lexmark and HP printers, as well as a series of TP-Link, Synology, NETGEAR, Mikrotik routers.
Today, zero-day security vulnerabilities can bring great dangers. An update needs to be shared as soon as possible to fix the problem, especially since they haven’t been discovered before. Therefore, we can say that Samsung will soon release a security patch for the Galaxy S22.
