In this case, they are the first phones to receive the innovations. Samsung, which has come a long way in updates, especially Android versions, came up with the Galaxy S22 camera update.
With the updated Expert RAW feature, as well as the new Camera Assistant application, users can capture frames that look like they were made by a professional. Let’s take a closer look at the new features coming to Samsung’s flagships now!
What does the Galaxy S22 camera update offer?
Expert RAW elevates the Galaxy S22’s night photography capabilities with its powerful Astrophoto feature. With this new feature, it is possible to take pictures of stars and movements in the sky.
By opening the Sky Guide, users can mark the stars, the solar system, the position and movements of nebulae on the screen, while the Galaxy S22’s camera uses artificial intelligence technology to provide the best possible view.
With its Multi-Frame Processing feature, it also provides users with the opportunity to take photos in a certain time period.
Multiple Exposure mode for artistic photos
Users who want to explore their artistic side can use the overlay modes after taking several photos together using the ‘Multi Exposure’ mode, and combine them into a single and striking image whenever they wish.
To use these settings, users can access Astrophoto and multiple exposure mode features from the ‘Custom Photo Options’ tab by going to Settings from the Expert RAW menu.
A personalized experience with Camera Assistant
The Camera Assistant app, on the other hand, offers users the opportunity to choose automation features for a fully personalized shooting experience.
The Camera Assistant application allows users to turn features such as ‘Auto Lens Switching’, ‘Auto HDR’ and ‘Shutter Acceleration’ on and off. In addition, it provides more control over the photos with features such as the ability to more precisely control the sharpness levels and the number of photos to be taken after the timer goes off.

– Photo smoothing feature: It can be used to correct sharp edges and photo texture in the photo.
– Automatic lens switching: The ‘Automatic lens switching’ feature, which automatically switches between camera lenses when zooming in on the photographed subject or in the dark, can now be turned off.
When users want to use a telephoto lens instead of a wide lens to take a picture of an object closer to them, this feature can be turned off via the menu.
– Video recording in photo mode: When this feature, which allows shooting video clips by long pressing the button in photo mode, is turned off, preventing accidental video recording.
– Setting the number of shots after the timer: Users can automatically take multiple photos in a row after setting the timer. With this feature, they will also be able to choose how many photos to take.
– Faster shutter: This mode allows taking 7 photos per second. It stands out as an extremely useful feature when taking pictures of moving objects.
