iFixit team disassembled Samsung’s new flagship smartphones to determine their repairability rating. Unfortunately, the Galaxy S22 and S22 Ultra, which were guests of the laboratory, received extremely low scores from the experts.

The review shows that it is quite difficult to repair the new models offered by the South Korean company. It was noted that there is a lot of glue on the Galaxy S22 series smartphones. Naturally, this makes the repair process both more difficult and time-consuming.
The screen is “terribly difficult” to remove
The only plus in terms of repairability, according to iFixit experts, is the use of Philips screws. One of the hardest things is removing the screen. The process is described as “terrible” because a strong adhesive is used. Likewise, removing the battery is extremely difficult.
Another annoying issue cited is that the company does not provide a repair manual. For this reason, it will not be easy for non-authorized technical services to repair the Galaxy S22 series, let alone normal users. As a result, the iFixit team gave the Galaxy S22 and S22 Ultra a repairability score of 3 out of 10.
