The results of a test of the Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra displays have been leaked directly from Samsung’s development labs. We can say that these tests confirm most of the Galaxy S22 screen information that we have shared recently.
We shared with you in our news here that both Galaxy S22 + and Galaxy S22 Ultra will come with screens that can reach very high peak brightness levels. Peak will be 1,750 nits, but the standard brightness level (with auto mode disabled) reaches 1,500 nits. That means a much higher brightness level than any Galaxy smartphone screen we’ve seen so far.
Besides reaching new peak brightness levels, the Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ulta displays appear to offer flawless contrast ratios as expected from AMOLED. They can also cover 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut, enhancing the multimedia viewing experience, especially when watching HDR content.
The Galaxy S22+ will have a 6.55-inch display, while the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s panel will be 6.81-inches. Samsung will unveil both phones alongside the standard Galaxy S22 next month, but exact release dates remain unclear due to the possibility of a delayed launch.
We still do not know the brightness level of the standard Galaxy S22 model. However, it seems likely that it could reach a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. This means that it will have the same screen brightness as the Galaxy S21.
