Web3 gaming project Gala Games has announced that it will distribute GALA v2 tokens to all GALA holders on May 15.
Announcing the development via a blog post, the team advised users to remove their GALA tokens from any liquidity pool or smart contract before the snapshot on May 15.
Airdrop Date Announced
Explaining that they contacted exchanges to ensure a smooth transition, the GALA team also underlined that tokens must be stored in a personal wallet to ensure that airdrops are delivered directly to the owner. In addition, GALA announced that they have adjusted 1:1 conversion for all users and they have also discontinued GALA v1 token support.
The upgrade, which will take place along with the airdrop event scheduled for May 15, is expected to bring improvements such as advanced burning mechanisms, security enhancements and upgradability.
Gala Games has a wide ecosystem including the web3 entertainment platform Gala Film. The project recently announced that it plans to release a new series exclusively for the Gala Film platform. Starring Hollywood stars such as Danny Trejo and Mena Suvari, this series will take place in a dystopian Los Angeles, where crypto money and artificial intelligence are intertwined with the criminal underworld.
