Remedy Entertainment, which made the official announcement of the long-awaited Alan Wake 2 recently, stated that it is now working on a free-to-play online production. Remedy is working with the famous Chinese game maker Tencent Games in the production of this game. Here are all the details shared about the game…
Another game is coming after Alan Wake 2
Alan Wake 2, one of the new productions announced at the last The Game Awards event, finally met the expectation from Remedy Entertainment for a while.
However, an investor who made a statement to Game Informer this week announced that Remedy has signed a partnership agreement with Chinese publisher and game producer Tencent. The game, which will offer a free-to-play co-op online experience, has been named Vanguard, but this name may change after the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Tencent Games, which previously published many games such as Stardew Walley, Rocket League, Minecraft and Cities: Skylines, has now reached an agreement with Remedy Entertainment, the producer of the Alan Wake, Control and Max Payne series. The production, which will be the first game to be released by Remedy with a service-based business model, will offer an online experience with co-op gameplay.
Initial statements indicate that the production will be available on both PC and consoles, as well as mobile platforms. However, it shows that the production will have a unique name for selected countries in the Asian market. So far, we have information that it will only be online, that it will come with a business model that is free but open to in-game purchases, and that the planned name of the game is Vanguard. However, as new material about Alan Wake 2 is released, new information about the production will be presented.
