Niantic, the developer of the world-famous Pokemon Go game, is now developing a new augmented reality mobile game together with the NBA. In the NBA All-World game, you’ll be tasked with exploring your surroundings to find some of the basketball stars like Chris Paul, Steph Curry and James Harden. You’ll be able to challenge and compete with virtual players in mini-games, such as three-point competitions, before recruiting them to your team.
NBA All-World players will be able to wear special jerseys for NBA stars. You will also be able to improve your squad with the costumes that can be found in places such as sports equipment stores and markets. One-on-one matches with NBA stars will also be possible. Matches take place in different locations, including real-life basketball courts.

After Pokémon Go and Pikmin Bloom, there are a few more games Niantic is working on. One of them, Transformers: Heavy Metal, has gone into beta, but is only available in a few countries for now. The same goes for Peridot, a modern AR approach to Tamagotchi.
It is not yet clear exactly when Niantic will air the NBA All-World, but the game is said to enter the launch period. You can register for the game at https://nbaallworld.com/ to follow the developments.
