Apple is leading the world of smartphones with its iPhone series. So much so that for many people, the first thing that comes to mind when talking about a phone is the iPhone. Finally, the company, which announced the Dynamic Island feature to the whole world, created its plans for the coming years.
iPhone 17 Pro models will have under-screen Face ID
Important sources are focused on the iPhone 15 series, which is expected to take the stage in the last quarter of this year. However, a source named Ross Young shared information about the screen features that the company will use in the coming years. Accordingly, the iPhone 17 Pro models will come with the under-screen Face ID feature.
Previously, some leak information said that this feature will come with the iPhone 16 Pro. The source stated that due to “sensor issues” this feature has been moved to the next series. The under-screen Face ID feature will take the stage in iPhone 17 Pro models and will continue until iPhone 19 Pro models.
The under-screen Face ID feature is available in some smartphone manufacturers such as ZTE and Oppo, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 3. With the iPhone’s coming to this feature, the notch design, which is seen as a “problem” by many in the series, can also be abandoned. It is stated that the models can switch to a full-screen design.
Apple is also working hard for under-screen cameras on iPhones. However, it seems that there are significant obstacles in front of the company. First of all, it is stated that the under-screen camera can be up to 4 Megapixels. Considering that 12 Megapixels were used in the last series, this means that there will be a huge drop.
