Free electricity support from Tesla to Ukraine

Supports from the US and European companies started to come one by one against the ongoing Russian occupation in Ukraine. After companies such as Apple, Google and Amazon, the last support for the Ukrainian people will be given by the electric car manufacturer Tesla.

Elon Musk’s company Tesla announced that it will offer Tesla Supercharger stations free of charge to owners of electric vehicles affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. All Supercharger stations in countries around Ukraine will allow free charging.

Tesla will offer free electric vehicle charging station

US auto giant Tesla, regardless of the war, regularly offered free Supercharger to electric vehicle owners. But the latest free electricity distribution program will allow people to quickly avoid potential disasters by charging their cars.

According to the company’s new announcement, not only Tesla owners, but all electric vehicles, regardless of brand, can recharge electricity from these stations for free. According to Teslarati, the automaker has sent the following email to car owners in the Ukraine region:

“You can recharge for free in some regions of Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. From Monday, we are temporarily activating the free Supercharger for both Tesla and non-Tesla vehicles at facilities in the latest affected regions in Ukraine. We hope this helps give you peace of mind to get to a safe place.”

While the news of free electricity distribution launched by Tesla is pleasing, it should be noted that the vast majority of Ukrainians do not own an electric car (in 2021 there were close to 27,000 vehicles on the roads of Ukraine) . That’s why many people ask on social media, “Which company will provide free gasoline?” he began to ask.

Although Tesla does not currently operate in Ukraine, it has plans to open Supercharger stations in the country. However, it is unclear for now how the conflict affected these plans. Let us remind you that SpaceX, another company of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, will provide internet to Ukraine with Starlink.
