Jack Dorsey, who has been trying to create a concept where everyone can access the Bitcoin blockchain for a long time and where transfers will be both free and very fast, has started to reap the fruits of this.
Innovation from the Cash app
The second-layer Lightning network, which was launched in 2015 to make transfers on the Bitcoin chain at lightning speed and with the lowest fees, is also supported by Jack Dorsey.
Especially with the Bitcoin revolution of El Salvador, the Lightning project came to the fore. Dorsey’s Spiral subsidiary, formerly Square, now known as Block, developed the Lightning Development Kit? (LDK) tool and offered it to developers.
Again, Block’s Cash mobile payment application integrated this kit, making it possible to transfer and pay Bitcoin free of charge over the Lightning network. Dorsey thinks that the usage area of the application will increase in this way. On the other hand, the application cannot receive payments over the Lightning network for now, so only shipping is possible.
