Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has added a new one to its affordable phone models. Redmi 12, which draws attention with its stylish design and ambitious features for its price, was officially showcased in Thailand. What does Redmi 12 promise?
The new entry-level model was recently leaked on Xiaomi’s Portugal site. It was presented to users as part of the event held in Thailand. Redmi 12; It comes with a 6.79-inch LCD screen with FHD+ resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate and 550 nits brightness.
It should be noted that the new Redmi offers a very simple design. The device, which has a triple camera setup on the back, comes with a screen embedded design on the front. The device is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 chipset.
The Helio G88 is accompanied by up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Users can increase this storage thanks to microSD card support.
Redmi 12 comes with triple rear camera setup. These cameras include 50 Megapixel main, 8 Megapixel ultra wide and 2 Megapixel macro sensors. On the front, there is an 8 Megapixel selfie camera embedded in the screen.
The entry-level Redmi model is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It also comes out of the box with MIUI 14 based on Android 13.
It should be noted that the Redmi 12 attracts attention with its price. Xiaomi has set 5299 Thai Baht ($152) as the starting tag. While this is exclusive to Thailand, it seems to increase competition in the market.
