France’s financial regulator, AMF, has changed the registration requirements for crypto firms to better comply with MiCA regulations.

MiCA, the crypto regulations prepared by the European Union with intense work, is eagerly awaited. European Union countries are trying to complete the harmonization and preparation processes for MiCA.

France continues to work within the scope of harmonization processes for MiCA. France’s financial regulator, AMF, has tightened things up by changing the registration requirements for crypto companies.

France is on the back of crypto companies with new changes

France’s financial regulator, AMF, made changes as part of the MiCA compliance process. AMF will enforce the change to the registration requirements of crypto companies to new players who want to serve in the country.

The country’s financial regulator, the AMF, has announced its new amendment, which will take effect on the first day of 2024. As a result of this change, AMF has established enhanced registration requirements for digital asset service providers.

The changes will also allow for rapid procedures for companies already operating in the country with previous approval. This will be the authorization phase of companies.

“DASPs that received a simple registration before 1 January 2024 benefit from a “grandparent” clause and remain subject to the framework in effect before that date,” the AMF said.
