Crypto-focused venture capital firm Framework Ventures has announced that it has raised $400 million for a new fund.
Framework stated in a statement that half of the $200 million in new capital will be allocated to “emerging blockchain games.”
Investments in blockchain games also reveal the momentum of deals in the industry.
Framework’s portfolio includes Aave (AAVE) and Chainlink (LINK). Among the company’s gaming-focused investments is play-to-earn studio Illuvium, which raised $5 million last year.
Co-founder Michael Anderson said:
Blockchain games are gaining more and more attention, especially at a time when the metaverse is so popular. Companies are working every day to finance projects in the blockchain and metaverse.
