Fossil watches get Google Assistant support again
Wanting to fight the failure of smart watches on the Android side, Google introduced the Wear OS 3 operating system, which it developed in partnership with Samsung, in 2021. Although WearOS 3 brought many innovations and performance optimizations, it caused many problems in the systems it reached. One of these problems was that Google Assistant said goodbye to some smart watches. Fossil, a popular smartwatch brand on the Android side, has started to solve this problem.

Fossil devices get Google Assistant support

With the Werar OS 3 update, many Fossil Gen 6 watches lost Google Assistant support. Fossil has solved this problem with its newly released update. With this update, Gen 6 smartwatches such as Diesel, Michael Kors and Skagen, apart from Fossil, regain the Google Assistant that it lost a while ago.

The Assistant, which can be activated with the “Hey Google” command or a button, allows users to make calls, reply to messages, control music and control smart home devices through their watches. It should also be noted that Fossil Gen 6 smart watches support the Amazon Alexa assistant.
