Fossil introduced the Gen 6 Wellness Edition, which draws attention with its fashionable smartwatch aesthetics. With a focus on fitness, the Gen 6 has a sporty and finely tuned design. So, what does this watch, which has remarkable features, offer with its technical features?
Gen 6 Wellness Edition highlights
The new Gen 6 Wellness Edition features an updated design with sleek, curved stainless steel edges. That makes it one of the best looking Wear OS smartwatches. The Gen 6 comes in a 44mm case with a 1.28-inch display.
Powered by Snapdragon 4100+, this device comes with Wear OS 3, Google’s smartwatch operating system. It also has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. However, the Gen 6 Wellness Edition supports apps like YouTube Music, Spotify and Facer.
Other highlights of Fossil Gen 6 Wellness Edition are the Wellness app that records health and fitness data, including blood oxygen level measurement, heart rate, automatic exercise detection, and cardio fitness estimates using VO2 Max.
This app also provides advanced sleep tracking outside of workouts. Additionally, the Gen 6 Wellness Edition can automatically change workouts based on your movements while continuously monitoring your heart rate during a workout.
Many smartwatches already brought these features years ago. However, these features have been delayed due to Wear OS 2 and older Snapdragon Wear chips that Fossil has used before.
The Fossil Gen 6 Wellness Edition will come in three color options: Black, Silver and Rose Gold. Gen 6, which has multiple strap options, will go on sale from October 17 with a price tag of $ 299.
