Ford recalls its cars after oil and brake problems
It has been learned that 737 thousand vehicles will be recalled after some security problems affecting Ford owners in the USA. Realizing a software error that endangered the brake system and that the engine oil container was not strong enough, Ford warned thousands of vehicle owners.
The automaker has recognized the risk of oil leakage in the 2020-2022 Ford Escape and 2021-2022 Ford Bronco Sport vehicles with 1.5L engines, which could cause the engine oil casing to crack and cause a fire. Stating that it received at least 8 fire reports, which is thought to be caused by this error, the company stated that there were no injuries or accidents.
Dealers who purchase the vehicles will check the oil separator chamber for damage or leaks and replace the oil separator housing and gasket if necessary.
Ford also 2021-2022 Ford F-150 and 2022 Maverick, Expedition, Lincoln Navigator, F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 called his vehicles due to a software error in the electric hydraulic brake system.
It was stated that Ford dealers, which will purchase defective vehicle models, will update the software of the integrated trailer brake control module. Ford has had 67 reports of software bugs to date, but no accidents or injuries related to the recall issue.
Last week, Ford recalled 195,000 pickups and SUVs that could reduce braking power due to a brake fluid problem. The auto giant announced that it will start notifying owners of faulty vehicles from April 18.
