Among all the iPhone 15 news, leaks about other expected phones continue to emerge. The latest Samsung Galaxy S24 leaks are among these; It brings both good and bad news.
The bad news is that all three models (i.e. Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra) can charge at the same speeds as their predecessors. At least that seems to be the case with the 3C certification list spotted by MyFixGuide, which shows 25W charging speeds for the standard Samsung Galaxy S24 and 45W charging speeds for the Galaxy S24 Plus and Ultra. According to this leak, the charging speed of each device will be the same as the Samsung Galaxy S23 series.
Unsurprisingly, this list also states that no charger will be included with the phones. We can say that this is to be expected, since Samsung stopped including chargers in the boxes of Galaxy S phones a while ago.
Although we are skeptical of all this information, 3C is an official Chinese agency and requests information from Samsung to certify the company’s products. In other words, the information in this list must be correct.
Let’s get to the good news… Another leak claims that the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will have more RAM.
This leak comes from @Tech_Reve, who has a solid, if somewhat short, track record. According to what is claimed in this leak, it will be possible to buy the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus in at least two configurations, one with 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM, the other with 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM.
For comparison, all models of the Galaxy S23 and Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus have 8 GB of RAM, so if this leak is true, you will be able to get 4 GB more RAM.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will have storage between 256 GB and 2 TB and all models will come with 16 GB RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra had 8GB or 12GB of RAM depending on the model, so you’ll have access to more RAM either way. It can also have a maximum of 1 TB of storage; So you can reach twice the storage with the S24 Ultra.
Finally, @Tech_Reve reiterates his earlier claims about the chipset, saying that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the other two models will use a combination of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Samsung’s own Exynos 2400. Presumably this chipset option will be regional, as is usually the case, but this is not stated in the leak.
Since the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is likely to be released in January or February, we may find out for sure if these leaks are accurate in a few months.
