Samsung announced its new foldable models Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 at the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event held in the past weeks. Both models are on sale as of today. A YouTuber, on the other hand, broke new ground by installing Windows Phone on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4.
How does Windows Phone look on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4?
YouTuber Mark Spurrell discussed how he turned the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 model into a Windows Phone in his latest video. Spurrell did not actually install a new operating system on the device. Instead, it used an interface quite similar to Windows Phone.
Samsung’s latest foldable phone has gained the appearance of Windows Phone through the application called Win-X Launcher. A very popular interface called Square Home was preferred for the external display. Thus, Galaxy Z Fold4 became similar to Microsoft Lumia.
Galaxy Z Fold4 looks like Windows 10 made for foldable phones. With its highly simplified interface and classic Microsoft icons, the facelifted Galaxy Z Fold4 looks surprisingly successful.
Win-X Launcher’s stylishly designed notification panel and taskbar also do not go unnoticed. In addition, some movements in Lumia can be performed thanks to Square Home. For example, Spurrell was able to quickly switch to the camera by swiping left on the outer screen.
